Our history
Design Naturell was founded over thirty years ago, in 1990. Initially, in addition to spectacle frames, handmade products such as knife bowls and buttons were also produced. Over time, eyewear proved to be the centrepiece of the company – as it still is today! Design Naturell models are internationally renowned and the collection includes a large selection of fine natural horn frames for every taste.
Who we are
Our close-knit team consists of 10 creative minds who are responsible for the design, manufacture and distribution of Design Naturell eyewear. Every craftsman and -woman is skilled in several areas and is very familiar with various steps of the frame-making process. In this way, we remain especially flexible and see each pair of glasses as unique.
Close to nature
Our credo: from nature, in harmony with nature, for nature. At Design Naturell, we not only work with natural materials, we also live and work in the midst of nature, in the beautiful Volcanic Eifel. Here, we don't just talk about ecology, it’s a real part of our life, every day – and has been for over 30 years!
Future prospects
It is important to us to continuously develop creative ideas in terms of frame shape and eyewear colour. In this way, the traditional material natural horn is constantly given a new and contemporary look, while nature is a source of inspiration for us. Thanks to our focus on processing the frames by hand, we remain extremely flexible. This allows us to create modern concepts alongside tried and tested favourites.
